I'm ready for this hiatus to be over. Being on stage with the guys at the Grammy's just proved to me that's where I belong.

The one good thing about the break is that I'm getting to spend a lot of time with Bri. This is an age where I don't want to miss a thing. I look at her and see the day where she starts school, when I have to fight to keep the boys away, when she cries over her first boyfriend, when she goes to college, when she gets married... Kelly tells me that I think too much, but when it comes to her, I can't help it. So I want to remember everything about her at this age.

I filmed my part for My Big Fat Greek Life. What a great time that was. Although...I knew the hair was bad, but somehow it looked worse on tv.

That's about it. I've been hanging with Lance for a bit, but he's been keeping himself fairly busy. I haven't really talked to the other guys since the Grammy's, I guess that's my fault, being busy with Bri. Although, I'm sure they understand.

You're so cute when you're in dad-mode!

It's a bird... it's a plane... it's SUPER DAD!

Yeah yeah yeah. Just wait till you have kids, you'll be the same way.

Now, see, that's just a cruel, cruel thing to wish on some poor innocent child!

I think we'll leave the daddying to you for the time being!

Oh, come on, you know you'll be a great dad. And hey, Bri could use a playmate. You know, before she's old enough to babysit.

Although, your kid will probably be a holy terror.

Okay, can we stop it with the hypothetical kids already? You're freaking me out, man.

Go work on Justin. He and Wade are probably planning to adopt a whole flock of 'em. Enough for a basketball team, at least.

Okay, okay, I get it, I'll back off.

I'd rather not think about Justin and Wade's kids. Those kids will have more talent than I do. Although, Justin's a bit busy for kids right now, so I guess we'll have a few more years before we have to worry about that.

Well, you do know that it is still scientifically impossible for them to have kids TOGETHER, right?

*shudders*

Now, see, you made me think of those scary stories on the internet where one of us gets pregnant. Remind me to beat the crap out of Lance for showing us to those that day.

So how the heck are you? Hell, where the heck are you?

Are you kidding? It doesn't matter if they're not biologically their kids. They won't let their kids NOT be talented. It'll be in their water or something.

I'm good. In Orlando now. Thinking of going back to New York. How are you?

Oh, didn't know you were in town, too. Was going to tell you that modern technology makes it sound like you're just down the street, but hey, you are.

I'm good. Wandering aimlessly around the house. Keeping myself not at all busy.

This vacation thing? Kinda sucks, man. I think we've all got being workaholics in our blood by now.

Yeah, I've gotten pretty good at wandering myself. Vacation sucks.

Although, I know as soon as we go back to work, we'll be bitching for a vacation. It's like a vicious cycle.

We're conditioned, man. Can't live with out each other. We'll have five wheelchairs lined up together in the retirement home.

Justin and I will probably race ours, of course.

Although, I didn't have us that far ahead. Retirement homes? Man, are you getting old on me, Kirkpatrick?

You're like one of those parents who suddenly wants the rest of the world to procreate, too.

You're like two steps away from being a soccer mom, man.

Well, now that you mention it, you should see her kick! She's going to be great.

Well, since you're a lost cause, maybe I'll have to start in on one of the other guys. Although, come to think of it, I might not have that great of luck with them either.

I guess I'll have to be content being the only mature, responsible one.

But let's face it. You're no Lance.

Let's face it, it's a good thing I'm not Lance. World only needs one, man. Although, I don't have a Beth to keep me organized. I'm convinced he doesn't do a thing and makes her do all the work.

Hey, as long as they're happy, who are we to judge?

Well, we judge, sure. But he's my best friend, so I'd like to think I give him some leeway there.

And...you know a month ago, I would've said no. But now, with JC being a huge ass, I don't know. I think Lance is just about ready to forget about it. I know I would be. And Beth? She loves him, you can't argue that. So. Sure. Maybe not forever, but for a while.

I guess you don't?

It's just... they go through these cycles, you know? But they always end up back together. Hard to believe that won't be the case this time.

It's kinda sad, don'tcha think?

[info]joey_fatone

Yeah, I guess it's sad. But there's only so much a person can take before it's over. And Lance has reached that point with JC.

I guess I'm more sad for him than anything else.

You don't think this isn't hard for C, too?

Yeah, he was wrong. He shouldn't have left. And he knows that.

But this is JC. He freaks out, he leaves. He's always done this. And Lance knows that.

You think when someone loves you they accept the good with the bad, you know? So when you realize that you've pushed that too far, that the forgiveness isn't coming this time... it's hard. It's really fucking hard.

(Reply to this) (Parent)(Thread)

[info]joey_fatone
2003-03-06 07:23 pm UTC (link)
I'm not saying it's not hard for him.

But sooner or later JC has to stop acting like he's a kid and act like an adult and not run away from Lance when things get a little tough. And Lance took him back more times than I can count. There's only so many times that can happen before he says he's had enough.

It took a lot for Lance to go back to JC the last time, and if JC didn't realize that...well, that's his fault. I'm sorry it's hard for him, but... well. He brought it on himself.
